Currently located in DuBois, Pennsylvania, Integrated World Arts has been in existence since its 1998 founding in Centerville, Pennsylvania. Integrated World Arts is an organization dedicated to increasing public understanding of the importance of preserving the arts and making quality cultural arts education available. The organization works in collaboration with universities, private agencies, preschools, public school districts and the local community through scout groups, healing centers, church groups and youth groups to encourage preservation by promoting arts awareness and appreciation through community supported classes, seminars, workshops, demonstrations and performances.
In the past, we have offered traditional Native American retreats, lectures, workshops, sweat lodges, counseling and energy work, various martial arts classes, health and wellness lectures, Tai Chi retreats, self-defense workshops and movement classes and workshops along with various craft classes. These programs have been held at a variety of locations, including Universities, senior centers, Ymca's, Ywca's, health fairs, retirement communities, women's shelters, churches, and holistic health centers. Private consultations were also offered. Public and private school programs relating to Native American traditions as well as programs specifically designed for at-risk youth have also been offered.
We incorporated August 2003 and received our 501(c)3 federally recognized non-profit organization status in March 2005. We feel this step will enable us to reach more people and to offer more programs. We are currently offering programs in Clarion, Brookville, DuBois, and Port Mathilda.
